HOW TO JOIN VASS AMERICAN LEGION POST 296 FAMILY

   Thank you for considering joining our Vass Post 296 family. If you would like to get on our mailing, please complete steps one (application) and two below (send). We will add you to our mailings, so that you can take a little time to decide if we are the fit that we hope that we are. If you are ready to join, proceed to step three (payment).

1. Click on and download the applicable fillable membership application(s) below:​

   • American Legion Membership Application (See eligibility requirements.)

   • American Legion Auxiliary Application (See eligibility requirements.)

   • Sons of the American Legion Application (See eligibility requirements.)

   • American Legion Riders (Please note that you must be a member of the Legion, Auxiliary, and/or SAL to be eligible for Rider membership.)

2. Complete the application and email it to ncpost296@outlook.com.

3. Visit our Post 296 General Store to submit your dues, submit your check payable to Vass Post 296, PO Box 296, Vass, NC 28394-0296, or just bring them with you to a regularly scheduled meeting. (Legion dues are $45, Auxiliary dues are $25, SAL dues are $15, and Riders dues are $10.)

 

   Please understand that your eligibility requirements are subject to review and membership can be denied without cause; however, the cause would be failing to meet the membership eligibility requirements. We firmly believe that a veteran is a veteran, and we welcome all to join and continue to serve in our ranks. If you are unsure, please complete your application and state your concern in the email when you submit the application. Payments are non-refundable, because when we get it, we submit it to our National Headquarters.
